Even though we are in the high and ultra high resolution era, there are situations when you need or want to include some older footage in your projects - such as 4:3 SD videos. Some time ago Dan Allen posted a tutorial in his FCPX Advanced Training Series on this very topic, in which he explains how to convert video footage from 4:3 standard definition square aspect ratios to widescreen 16:9 Full HD (or to even higher resolutions, but let's face it - in such situations you shouldn't expect extra
