Project EDSA (Epifanio de los Santos Avenue), also known as Journey of Peace in EDSA, is about creating a “positive social epidemic.” The idea is to mainstream peace-building through what Filipinos call bayanihan, the spirit of collective effort and cooperation among people from all walks of life. The effort recently manifested in the form of “the world’s longest peace mural.” Thousands of volunteers painted nearly 2.5 miles of walls around Camp Aguinaldo in the Philippines over the course of eight weeks.
