Various members of the ProVideo Coalition weigh in with their opinions around 4K. Do professionals need to shoot, edit and deliver at 4K because of the perceived benefits? Yet another online backup company has launched this week, this one offering what they call “infinite cloud storage”. Unlimited storage across multiple devices and operating systems for $10 month sounds pretty good and I might even give their service a try. But what struck me as odd is the company’s proclamation that with the launch of their service “the hard drive is now dead”.#hard drive#hd

The market for solid-state drives has been growing quick for years, and that trend doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon! An analyst over at IHS iSuppli expects global shipment of solid state drives (SSDs) to more than double in 2013. We missed getting product for the initial release of the Samsung 840 Pro SSD, although we did get in on the non-pro version back in November.
