SMPTE appoints first woman president

The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) has named its first woman president, Wendy Aylsworth, (also senior vice president of technology at Warner Bros.), to lead its next chapter of growth. As SMPTE president, Aylsworth will serve a two-year term, succeeding Pete Lude', who also holds a position as senior vice president of engineering at Sony Corporation.
