How do I delete the black from an Autosequence?

Autosequence automatically takes clips and puts them into a sequence at the timecode associated with the clips.  Removing the black (filler) from the sequence would move the clips from their correct timecodes. A better solution might be to select all of the clips in the bin and drag them to the timeline window.  In this...
