FCP X users will be more than happy and satisfied to known that the just released update of their favourite NLE now supports new additional flavours of Sony’s robust XAVC-L and the Panasonic’s AVC-Intra 4:4:4 codec, both in resolutions up to 4K. In other words, this means no longer any tedious transcoding of the Sony PXW-FS7‘s footage as the platform provides native real-time editing of these files up to 4K in 10-bit 4:2:2 at 113Mbps (3840 x 2160). The same applies for the Panasonic’s AVC-Intra 4:4:4 codec and the users of the flagship high-end models Panasonic Varicam 35 and Varicam HS.
